Madison Summer Vacations

Travel to Madison this summer to find a city that is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in America. Madison is the home of the University of Wisconsin (Badgers) and the state government of Wisconsin. This combination creates a city that is full of diverse activities, restaurants, musical performances, and public lectures.

A favorite place to visit in Madison is State Street. This is a pedestrian mall that connects the state capital and the University of Wisconsin campus. You will find restaurants, shopping, bars, and some very good street musicians.

Madison is also known as a great place for bikes. There are numerous bike paths throughout the city that can be used for biking, roller blading, and hiking.
